Kid movies that are great for me, are the ones who hold my youngest son’s attention. Midway through the movie, he started to complain and want to walk through the aisles. It starts out with a trip taken by Dave and all six chipmunks on a cruise. The chipmunks end up on a deserted island after accidently flying a kite overboard. Dave and an unexpected character (Ian) are on a mission to find them. The movie does show how a bond between father and son are unbreakable and no matter what trouble Alvin gets into, the bond will be there. It’s a cute little movie, but I would wait for it to come out on dvd.
